The Method
1. The Sort
We sort textiles the good ol’ fashion way, by color AND fabric type. Sorting by color helps prevent bleeding and fading. Sorting by fabric type helps preserve elasticity and prevent stretching, pulling & pilling.

Drying synthetic fabrics like athletic wear with heat ruins elastics.

This method helps keep clothes looking new longer. It saves you money in the long run and helps keep textiles out of the landfill.

We never overpack a machine. Overpacked machines prevents clothes from getting clean. Machines are designed to be filled only 1/3 full (about 1/3 of a large hamper.)

Usually Washed Individually
Our method uses 17 different load types to get your clothes cleaner and keep them looking new longer!
*When loads are small we’ll combine delicates and synthetics using mesh laundry bags.
2. The Wash & Dry
Unveiling our 4-step process to perfect laundry.

INDIVIDUALIZED, GENTLE WASH LOADS
Each sorted load gets its own washing machine. Most loads are washed on cold in our LG washers (Consumer Reports Best Pick). Unlike commercial washers that use high heat that can damage clothing, our washers are designed to work best on the cold setting.

FRESH, NOT FRAGRANT
We wash your textiles with low fragrance HE detergent. Fragrances are just chemicals that cover up bad smells. We believe laundry should smell like nothing and that odor, dirt and stains should be removed, not covered up.

AIR OVER HEAT
Post-washing, we transition your clothes to our dryers and "air" dry them with low or no heat. It might take longer, but it's the right way. We prioritize preserving the quality of your synthetic fibers and blends. For cotton clothes, we use low heat, and medium heat for towels and linens.
Don’t love our Method as much as we do? It’s OK!
Add notes to your profile or talk to your launderer or launderess and we’ll try to accommodate your preferences.
3. Organized for Return

HANG
PREFERRED
We believe hanging clothes is almost always preferable. Clothes are less likely to wrinkle. Getting ready is easier in the morning when you can see all your options hanging in front of you. You might also find you're less likely to keep clothes you no longer wear.

FOLD
If something has to be folded we believe it should be visible, on a shelf or in a bin, folded vertically. As a last resort, things should go in a drawer, vertically.
